Thanks for your reply. Which version of CentOS?

Unfortunately I have just not had much luck with using the Ubuntu + zen on this hardware. Generally Ubuntu works great but not everything works great everywhere.

This question comes up frequently, you should use what ever you have the most experience with.
Personally, I run CentOS, and given the subject, my setup is the same as yours. I have an Asus p5k-vm

which as I understand was used in a recent successful vt-d enabled system to pass a pci device through to an hvm.

It’s a super cheap solid performer.
