[Xen-users] domU boot stuck at "Freeing unused kernel memory: 148k freed
Hi,
My Xen 3.2 does not boot. Its stuck at "Freeing unused kernel memory:
148k freed". I used a FC8 distribution from jailtime.org.
My kernel is built using make KERNELS=
# xm console src-fc-01
xen-vbd: registered block device major 8
blkfront: sda1: barriers enabled
blkfront: sda2: barriers enabled
netfront: Initialising virtual ethernet driver.
vif vif-0: 2 parsing device/vif/0/mac
i8042.c: No controller found.
mice: PS/2 mouse device common for all mice
TCP bic registered
NET: Registered protocol family 1
NET: Registered protocol family 17
Using IPI No-Shortcut mode
XENBUS: Device with no driver: device/console/0
kjournald starting. Commit interval 5 seconds
EXT3-fs: mounted filesystem with ordered data mode.
VFS: Mounted root (ext3 filesystem) readonly.
Freeing unused kernel memory: 148k freed
Following are my configuration/ config files:
# xm list
Name ID Mem VCPUs State Time(s)
Domain-0 0 702 1 r----- 593.4
src-fc-01 2 300 1 -b---- 2.8
The xm create used this config file :
# cat fedora.fc8.xen3.cfg
kernel = "/boot/vmlinux.2.6.18-xenU_x86"
memory = 300
name = "src-fc-01"
vif = [ 'type=ioemu, mac=00:16:3E:34:BB:51, bridge=virbr0' ]
disk = ['file:/store/xen/images/fedora/fedora.fc8.img,sda1,w',
'file://store/xen/images/fedora/fedora.swap,sda2,w']
root = "/dev/sda1 ro"
on_shutdown = "destroy"
on_reboot = "destroy"
on_crash = "destroy"
vnc=1
vncconsole=0
/boot/vmlinux.2.6.18-xenU_x86 was built from the xen distribution I
built for my dom0 using the KERNELS= parameter.
Please help!
