Travis,
None of the socket 939 amd's support hardware virtualization. You
need AM2 or newer. I was a big fan of amd, until they fell asleep
and got stomped by Intel. Save your money and buy a Core2 processor,
all but the rock bottom cheapest support EMT64 and hardware virt, and
they mid priced ones spank the pants off the new Phenom dollar for
dollar.
A cheap Dell optiplex 755 desktop with 4g of ram will make a nice play
ground for learning xen virt.
