Theoretically, you have done all just like you should,
but I did notice, that running 

# /etc/xen/scripts/network-bridge stop netdev=eth0

is not enough in particular cases
to revert eth0 setup.

Anyway, you can always check the bridges state 
using brctl command.

This is correct output.
