Hi folk,

In this week, I migrate three Slackware VPN/Firewall/Proxy machines of a
customer to a LFS-based with Xen and I notice a delay on dom0 of the central
machine, The domu is fine and very fast (my customer notice a velocity
increase to access the VPN points and slightly for Internet access).

In dom0 a vim command delays 1-3 seconds to open a file, in domu is practicaly
instantaneous, any other program has the increased on hypervisor, including
the xm command. The VPN clients (and any other machine I isntalled this
distro) don't show any delay.

I think this is a hardware issue since this is the only machine with this
configuration. The other VPN points has AMD based arch.

Any ideas?

kernel-2.6.18.8 (dom0 and domu)
xen 1.3.1
Everything compiled to Pentium4 (in this machine case)

Hardware:

SATA 80GB.
