For what its worth, i got the image to boot finally by adding the below lines in the config file vnc = 0 nographic = 1 serial = 'pty' stdvga = 1 Very strange, since i haven't found the above options anywhere and were given to me by a friend of mine also working on xen + centos5. Without the above lines, the image keeps on giving the error, and won't boot.
