Hi all,

I have a problem to boot a Xen 3.1 guest  domain on Debian Etch 4.0 (amd64).
The error messages I get are:

register_blkdev: cannot get major 8 for sd
/bin/cat: /sys/block/sda/dev: No such file or directory
Waiting 1 seconds for /sys/block/sda/dev to show up
................................................................

and finally:

Kernel panic - not syncing: Attempted to kill init!

I installed Xen 3.1.0 from binaries, rather than apt-getting Debian Xen package. The two guest domains I tried are Debian Etch 4.0 and CentOS 5, both created with xen-create-image utility.

Any ideas?

Thanks
