You might be able to run (or crawl) with perhaps 32MB, but personally I set
my limit to at least 128MB -- the last thing you want is for your dom0 to be
swapping mercilessly while you're trying to get something useful done.
Shaving 50MB off each of your domUs shouldn't do any major harm, and it's
not as though a stick of RAM is a bankrupting cost these days.
