Welcome to LiveCD's. With a grotesque amount RAM, you could potentially do 
entirely RAM based operating system images.

Yeah, I've noticed that. Unfortunately, a lot of management tools these days 
are also quite.... generous with their requirements for successful 
operation. The virt-manager is one of those.
