I'd like to use an ISO image to install a guest domain, but I'm having
some problems. How do you boot from a CD?

Interesting idea :)

I ever only used booting from iso for hvm domains.
Mind that you need a xen-enabled kernel to boot and a "normal"
distributions install cd don't has one.

No idea how and if this can be done for paravirtual guests.
Maybe somehow with pygrub, but I don't know if it supports iso
filesystems, and maybe by using a monolithic kernel and changing the
root parameter to the the cd device, but no idea if that will work and
what problems will occur with that.

If for some reason, you don't exactly have to boot from the iso, but
must boot the system the iso contains. Maybe you have to copy the iso
contents to a normal ext2 partition, and put the right kernel modules
and stuff there...

All just vague guesses... like to hear if anything goes.
Henning
