Hello,
I have a miniPC called SlimPro625h from Cappucino PC
it has a Pentium M 725 Processor
I havent' been able to install xen on this machine.
I tried with the insallation CD but it doesn't work with PAE-less CPU so I
looked on line a I have tried to use the kernel options at boot- time:
swiotlb=force but it doesm't work either.
Which installation cd do you mean?
Then I tried to install Ubuntu and then compile the kernel removing the PAE
option from Config.mk following these instructions:
http://www.redhat.com/archives/fedora-xen/2006-November/msg00292.html
For one, this readme is about sHype, not PAE, but there might be some
fineprint I didn't read, or it can probably be used for others, too.
But, why do you use a fedora instruction for ubuntu?
Why don't you try to install the Ubuntu Xen packages, first?
Which version of Ubuntu do you use?
but when I boot from the xen kernel it does not start, it gives me a warning
about /lib/tls and freezes.
I tried to install the libc6 and some other packages.. but no luck
Install the package libc6-xen.
any suggestions on how I can install a xen version with PAE disabled?
Please give more details, then we might better be able to help you.
Henning
