i agree with you at all!
this was a quick-and-dirty "try to look at to resolve it in shortest way" 
and "maybe someone a day will read this mail and will look at the code, also 
if it is dumb!" :D

anyway, if you look at XendConfig.py, imho, there is already some error 
reflecting actual config (README.*).
