[Xen-users] dhcp yes ping no
Hi there
Basically I can get dhcp from a workstation in the lan
to a dhcpserver on a domU, but not ping workstation
and dhcpserver and vice versa.
I have:
Dom0:
"ctr" Suse 10.2, no nics, xenbr0 (no ip)
DomUs:
"bs" Suse 10.2, eth0 1952.168.31.2(vif) eth1
192.168.31.3(sis900 hidden from dom0 by pciback hide),
this box runs dhcp and dns for 192.168.31.0, dhcp is
set up to serve both eth0 and eth1, I have activated
IP-forwarding on this box, there is no firewall
running here (lan has at current no connection to
internet, there will be "fw" with shorewall later)
"fs" Suse 10.2 eth0 dhcp fixed ip host, as defined in
/etc/dhcpd.conf(vif)
Workstations
"Herkules" Suse 10.2/W2k dual boot eth0 dhcp(gets
192.168.31.119)
ping bs => fs works, also by ip
ping fs => bs works, also by ip
ping bs => 192.168.31.119 fails
dhcp for Herkules works(!)
ping Herkules => bs fails also by ip:
ping 192.168.31.2
ping 192.168.31.3
on dom0 brctl show gives:
bridge name bridhe ID STP enabled interfaces
xenbr0 8000.feff... no vif7.0
vif6.0
So where is the error?
How can I debug this?
greets chris
