Thread-topic: 64bit dom0, 64bit HVM guest?
Hi there!

I am running debian/amd64 on a Xeon workstation.
This is HVM-compatible, so I can run Windows (32-bin WinXP) in a virtual box
just fine.

But when I tried to install another 64bit (non-xen-aware) linux distribution
in an other HVM, the kernel said that
"this host does not support long mode, use a 32-bit distribution", or something
like that.

Is this normal?

I thought I was supposed to be able to run a 64-bit guest on a 64-but dom0
environment.

    Kristof
