[Xen-users] FreeBSD on Xen 3.0.3
Heia,
I have created a bunch of FreeBSD (current) images using Yuan Jue's excellent
howto
(http://www.yuanjue.net/xen/howto.html) and also his kernels.
Starting out with Xen 3.0.2 on a slackware linux dom0, they worked fine.
However, after I upgraded to Xen 3.0.3 they suddenly refuse to start:
===
root@iejoor:/xen/hosts/benv1# xm create -c freebsd_xen_RUN
Using config file "freebsd_xen_RUN".
Error: (22, 'Invalid argument')
===
Peeking through the xend log reveals:
===
VIRTUAL MEMORY ARRANGEMENT:
Loaded kernel: 0xc0000000->0xc02c6c8c
Phys-Mach map: 0xc02c7000
Start info: 0xc0307000
Store page: 0xc0308000
Console page: 0xc0309000
Page tables: 0xc030a000
Boot stack: 0xc060d000
TOTAL: (nil)->0xc0800000
ENTRY ADDRESS: 0xc00314c0
ERROR: Initial guest OS requires too much space
(0xc08MB is greater than 256MB limit)
(0 = Success)
ERROR: Error constructing guest OS
===
I noticed that the '(nil)' value wasn't there when running Xen 3.0.2.
Does anyone have any idea why this happens?
I tried a linux image just for testing purposes, and to my surprise that one
boots without problems.
Thanks for reading :)
Wouter.
