Hi Patrick,

'my' options are located in the Xen-Kernel. But if you found a solution, there is no need to change any kernel options anymore ;-)

Hi Carolin,

thanks for your fast answer. I looked for this option to activate in all
scripts beeing located in /etc/xen/, but i didnt found it :-(
(maybe you can give me a more detailed description where it is located)

But I found another solution for the problem which also works quite fine:

Add this lines to your /etc/modprobe.conf:

install forcedeth /sbin/modprobe pciback ; /sbin/modprobe --first-time
- --ignore-install forcedeth
(forcedeth is used for my nvidia-eth-controler, maybe one will need skge
for other controlers)

options pciback hide (0000:00:04.0)
(passes the hide params to pcihide)

For more information see:

Hi Patrick,

I had to enable the PCI-Backend with Passthrough under the XEN-options.

Hi folks,

I installed sucessfully 2 virtual machines on a fedora core 6 system.
When I try to use the grub command "pciback.hide", I retrieve an error
message while booting my dom0... I read an article which says, that it
might be possible, that the pciback.hide feature is not activated in the
kernel... Does anybody know how to activate this feature?

Thanks a lot...
