[Xen-users] Why does loading suse in virtual machine take 13 hours?
So far, I have not had any success installing any windows oprating
system under full virtualization, so I though I would try Suse 10 under
Suse10.1 host. First, it is slow as molassis in January (this is on
athlon 64 X2 3800+), then it gets to the point of installing the
packages, and it says it will take >2 hours. After half an hour, it has
installed 30 packages. This calculates out to 13 hours to install Suse!
I thought full virtualization was supposed to be faster than that. What
could be the problem or is this normal? If it is normal, it is unuseable
then.
