that's a pity, and hope it to gain some steam soon. i used to think of IB
as "yet another niche SAN technology", like a FC-wannabe. but when i saw a
presentation of IB and Xen, i understood how much better-thought it is, with
it's 'hardware from userspace' architecture bypassing the kernel to get high
throughput and low latency, and its 'one virtual card' for each app working
great to give each DomU direct access to the same card, bypassing the Dom0
bottleneck.
imagine a small motherboard with just a good IB interface and 100MB ethernet
(for managing, not SAN/LAN), no disks, in a blade chassis, running Xen....
wouldn't that be just great?
