Using PCI passthrough to hand an entire USB controller to the domU should be
(pretty much) as fast as dom0 accessing it, i.e. about the same as the
unvirtualised case.
Obviously if you need a lot of CPU time to process the data (e.g. you're
straeming video) then you'll have to make sure you have enough of it despite
the other running domains, otherwise you won't be able to keep up. But the
IO itself should be relatively unaffected.
