Any distribution should work just fine.
Rather than switching it would probably be more productive to
describe the errors you're encountering. If you're new to Xen
it doesn't matter which distro you use as there will almost
certainly be something to confuse you.
I've used Xen 3.x on Debian Sarge, and on Debian unstable (sid)
without any real issues, as described in the pieces here:
