[Xen-users] Questions on Xen timer
Hi,
I have a question measuring some network latency and bandwidth.
Since domains do not access hardware directly, Xen provides
real time, virtual time, and wall-clock time according to the Xen 1.x paper
(Xen and the art of virtualization).
Is that means that gettimeofday in a domain (either dom0 or domU) is
based on
wall-clock time provided by Xen and I can safely trust that gettimeofday
returns
reasonable value?
Further, my latency and bandwidth results using gettimeofday syscall is
trustworthy?
Thanks in advance.
