It is needy in the sense that the chipset and bios must support VT.. but
dual-core is not necessarily a requirement.  The Intel Core Solo chips
support VT -- the Mac Mini with Core Solo supports VT.  However, this is
the only intel processor I'm aware of that supports VT.

I just did a quick scan and saw 4 models that said dual core - no, vt - yes.
