I downloaded the vnc-4_1_2-x86_linux.tar.gz package
./vncinstall /usr/local/bin gave me in DomU (ubuntu) .... line 64: /usr/bin/cmp: Permission denied (cmp had the permission 644, changing it to 755 gave me: line 64: /usr/bin/cmp: cannot execute binary file)
In Dom0 however the installation worked !!!

Another thing what I don't understand:
I mounted the image and thought I can just copy the file from Dom0 to the mounted place. I did not received any error, but the copied file vnc-4_1_2-x86_linux.tar.gz is not at the mounted place!
(cp vnc-4_1_2-x86_linux.tar.gz /mnt/XenDomains/ubuntu/home/test)
What do I miss here?
I had to scp it from Dom0 to DomU.

bye

Ronald
