Hi,

I have recently started taking a look at Xen and have so far setup a Xen installation on a Fedora Core 5 host.

I have also created a FC5 guest which boots up fine.

I have found on the internet instructions on how to start the x-server for a linux based guest by using VNC. And, although I've managed to start the x-server, it is all done manually.

I.e. start the Linux guest, log in, start the vncserver on the guest, run a vncclient from the host connecting to the guest, then start the x-server by calling /etc/X11/xinit/./Xclients from within twm.

One of the outcomes of doing all this is that the x-server starts its panels (e.g. launcher menu) on separate windows within the twm started via vncclient.

My questions are:

1. Is it possible to start a linux guest at runlevel 5 directly via an 'xm create -c guestConfFile' call?
2. Why does the x-server launch its panels on separate windows? Is it to do with the display it is launching them to? How can this be fixed???

Any help with my question's would be much appreciated!

Regards,

D. Paloschi.
