Or you could try a newer tarball of 3.0.2-testing; on Wed Apr 5 09:39:13 2006 changeset 1003eb92cfdd was commited with description "Fix checksum-offload problems introduced in c/s 9514, due to data_validated flag not being properly specified on the device channel." I guess this change is included in the April 6 tarball.
