Did you verify the MAC domU uses is unique in your network? Duplicate MACs
could cause that problem and would explain why your ping keeps the network
running, your arp cache won't expire then.


hmmm - i did not assign a MAC-Address to the vif - and i have only one domU up ... so there should be no conflict. But for fun i assigned a MAC-address which was for sure unique - but this did not solve the problem :(
