Probably the  most dump mistake. Somehow my grub was changed to take the default kernel which is non xen kernel.

Problem resolved, xend started up. Sorry for the trouble guys.

Not sure what happened to xen. I rebooted my machine and now xen refuses to startup.

When try to run xend status or xend start on commandline this is what i get:

ERROR: Could not obtain handle on privileged command interface (2 = No such file or directory)
Traceback (most recent call last):

Thinking i could have messed up things, i reinstalled entire xen3, however the problem remains.

Can anyone please help me and point me in right direction on whats happening here. Thanks for your time.
