It would be better if you could boot a native 2.6.12 with a similar
config. You can get such a kernel off the test CD.

Please post the diff between native and the two Xen versions.

NB: When you modify your kernel, are you sure that enabling the SiS9000
ethernet card is the only modification you're making? Are you sure
you're not turning CONFIG_X86_UP_IOAPIC off? Are you sure you are
putting the apic= line on the *Xen* grub line, not Linux?
