Hello,
With gentoo, I'm trying to boot linux-2.6.12.6.5-xen on xen 3.0-devel
with root=/dev/md0, a RAID1 partition.
Unfortunately, it breaks with:
devfs_mk_dev: could not append to parent for md/0
(the actual error is 17, EEXIST, it seems md/0 already exists in devfs).
The significant log lines lines I've got are:
raid1 and raid5 personality registrations,
raid5 selects its function,
md driver 0.90.1 initialize,
then I get NET:, input: IP: TCP: NET: lines,
then the defvs_mk_def error,
followed by md: autodetecting,
but md: autorun finds none of my RAID partitions, then panic.
When booting directly with a linux kernel, I get a Partition check:
log which lists all my partitions, but that's not the case when I boot
with xen.
Does xen hide the partitions from dom0?
