OK xend is failing after start somehow. Let's have a look at your xend-debug.log. Can you also check your memory utilisation (e.g. with 'top') - you have a load of stuff running and if the oom killer is kicking in then xend may be suffering.

Please post replies to the list rather than just to me. Others here may be interested and able to help.

For reference, there was a typo in my netstat command line suggestion, should have been 'netstat -ltnp' to get the process names. (Irrelevant now since xend isn't running.)

Mmmmm Doesn't look like xend is running to me.

The Firewall is disabled and the networking ( including the bridge ) is
working ok.
