RE: [Xen-ia64-devel] Weekly benchmark results [2/3rd week]
A couple more data points. I did a clean install of RHEL4U2, clean
pull of xen-ia64-unstable and full build/install. I get the same
hotplug failure message. I played around with hotplug for a while, but
didn't get anywhere. I then tried a clean install of SLES10 Beta, clean
pull/make/install. Hotplug works fine there and I can boot a domU with
no problems. Given that both Debian and SLES work, it seems like maybe
we should be working on a recipe to update hotplug/udev on RHEL4. I'm
not a udev expert, but I get the impression it's intertwined pretty
closely with the kernel rev, and a hotplug setup that works with a 2.6.9
and/or 2.6.12 kernel won't necessarily work with 2.6.16-rcX. Thanks,
Alex
