hi all
As we all know, xen currently support these three types domU mode, and every mode has it's own features, such as:
        Advantages                 Disadvantages
PV:  Good I/O performance        Have to modify the domU kernel
        Hardware Independent        Can't support windows

HVM: no need to modify kernel    not good at I/O performance
support various OS include  Hardware dependent(VT)
        linux, windows

PV-on-HVM: Optimize the I/O           Have to transplant the pv               performance with pv drivers   drivers between various kernel           support various OS include    versions
        linux, windows

1.Are the compare right? Or where can I get the more detailed performance compare given by the government? Specially, what about I/O performance between PV & PV-on-HVM???
2.When I choose domU mode, what conditions should I care for?
3.Is PV can use VT hardware technology?
4.In future, which modes will become the main direction?
Any reply will be appreciated, thanks a lot.
