This patch series implements several bug-fixes and implements "the memory allocation policy" of libxl. All touched functions have been tested with valgrind and are free of leaks, double-free and free-non-malloce'd pointer errors. This patch-set prepares for another patch to actually implement per-function-call lifetime for libxl garbage collection which is coming RealSoonNow(tm) - but touches almost every code path so requires more verification.
