I have been trying to get a Xen kernel running on Ubuntu 9.04 but then there
were some errors /usr/src/linux-2.6.27-xen.hg/arch/x86/kernel/time_32-xen.c:469:
undefined reference to `__udivdi3' make: *** [.tmp_vmlinux1] Error 1
which were resolved as per the solutions suggested here
http://bderzhavets.wordpress.com/2009/01/03/setup-xen-330-ubuntu-intrepid-server-dom0-via-build-xen-kernel-based-on-httpxenbitsxensourcecomextlinux-2627-xenhg/

and then kernel compiled successfully but then
the kernel finally failed to boot I applied the changes as were mentioned

I downloaded the xen kernel from http://www.xen.org/download/index_3.4.0.html
and the instructions i followed were from this page
http://www.howtoforge.com/installing-xen-3.3-with-kernel-2.6.27-on-ubuntu-8.10-x86_64
the modules mentioned in above page are placed a bit at different locations in
the downloaded xen kernel
the machine when booted tool a very long time to boot from Xen kernel and the
time was so much that I had to finally shutdown uncleanly.
Any more ideas as what can be done
my next step will be to format the system and install a fresh copy of Ubuntu
which I am trying to use as Dom0

am I proceeding the right way if any idea.
