[Xen-bugs] [Bug 579] New: Xen console breaks if CONFIG_PNPACPI is set in
http://bugzilla.xensource.com/bugzilla/show_bug.cgi?id=579
Summary: Xen console breaks if CONFIG_PNPACPI is set in dom0
Product: Xen
Version: unstable
Platform: All
OS/Version: All
Status: NEW
Severity: normal
Priority: P2
Component: Guest-OS
AssignedTo: xen-bugs@xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx
ReportedBy: jmorris@xxxxxxxxxx
If CONFIG_PNPACPI is enabled in the dom0 kernel, the xen serial console breaks.
Output works, but input does not. /proc/interrupts shows no interrupts
received for the console device.
Our kernels ship with this enabled and it appears to affect every machine.
There is a workaround, add pnpacpi=off to the kernel command line.
