[Xen-bugs] [Bug 540] New: DomU Panic

http://bugzilla.xensource.com/bugzilla/show_bug.cgi?id=540

           Summary: DomU Panic
           Product: Xen
           Version: 3.0.1
          Platform: All
        OS/Version: Linux
            Status: NEW
          Severity: normal
          Priority: P2
         Component: Guest-OS
        AssignedTo: xen-bugs@xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx
        ReportedBy: adam@xxxxxxxxxxx

Hello I am new to Xen. I have installed the Host Dom0 and got around the issue
with my sata_nv module. Had to use mkinitrd --with=stat_nv .....

Now that the host boots I am try to boot the guest DomU which is essentially a
copy of the host OS. The guest OS crashes with a panic and I have to issue the
xm destroy command to get rid of it. The error I am getting is:

VFS: Mounted root (ext3 filesystem) readonly.
Kernel Panic - not syncing: no init found. Try passing init= option to kernel.

I see the sata_nv module is not present in the .config file for the DomU kernel
but it is for Dom0. I believe although this is not needed by the guest, as it
does not communicate with hardware directly.

I appreciate I probably need to give you more information but I am not sure wher
to get it from, please advise.
