RE: [Xen-API] Xen Server performance monitoring

Hi,

Could you describe the software you’re running in more
detail?

For the xapi toolstack (see http://www.xen.org/products/cloud_source.html)
performance is tracked using a set of RRDs. It tracks host memory usage, host
pcpu usage, VM memory usage, VM vcpu usage, disk/network usage etc. You can
download the data and use it to display pretty graphs. There’s also a
simple python daemon (xen-api.hg/scripts/perfmon) which monitors the live data
and generates alerts (which can be sent by email) whenever thresholds are
crossed.

Hope this helps,
Dave

Subject: [Xen-API] Xen Server performance monitoring

Could any one let me know if there are any tools to
monitor/extract the performance of the xen servers which can be used? Not sure
if this is the right forum to ask this question.
